The South Eifel
The South Eifel is the area around the Bitburg-Prüm Eifel district in the Rhineland-Palatinate. It borders on the Moselle to the south and southeast, on the »Snow Eifel« to the northwest, and on the »Volcanic Eifel« to the northeast. The cross-border German-Luxembourg Nature Park is also in the South Eifel.

Bitburger Land holiday region
The Bitburger Land holiday region is right in the middle of the South Eifel, close to the German-Luxembourg border. There are many good reasons to visit, including the area’s unspoilt nature, its healthy low mountain range climate, its ancient villas, medieval castles, traditional Eifel villages, and much, much more.

Wildlife and Recreation: A day in the Eifelpark – the amusement park for action-fans and nature-lovers!
In the spacious, beautifully-situated area, which naturally blends into the hilly landscape of the Eifel, bears, wolves, lynx, alpine ibex and many other wildlife can be observed. The attraction of the park lies in the size of the enclosures, where the animals live almost as if they were in the wild. In order to ensure that there is plenty of action for the families, the Eifel Coaster tempts visitors with a thrilling ride down into the valley. On the whirligig, the wind blows in your face. Highlights for the little ones are the big slides paradise, the chase with the electric cars and the climbing garden, all absolutely ideal for fun and games.
A special experience for families is a visit to the birds of prey flight displays, the daily animal feeding and a visit to the shows.
